Dog Walk Home by filmmakers Vicki Topaz and Wynn Padula is a documentary film about PTSD treatment and service dogs for veterans, and the human-canine bond. Dog Walk Home tells the story of three veteran families who struggle with post-traumatic stress (also known as PTS or PTSD). Surprisingly, support comes in the form of highly trained service dogs that can detect and help alleviate the symptoms of PTSD. Intimate candor and the dogs’ unconditional love breathe a playful gust of life and promise into a dark topic. At its heart, it is a story of hope in the power of the human-canine bond.
