Kay Paumier helps companies be more successful by increasing awareness of their products and services. For more than 25 years, she has provided writing, public relations and other marketing communications services to clients that range from Fortune 1,000 companies to start-ups, especially B2B technology companies.
In the public relations area, she has generated coverage for her clients in publications such as The Wall Street Journal, BusinessWeek, Investor’s Business Daily, The Economist, Scientific American and Fortune Magazine; on national TV news; on the covers of leading trade publications and in innumerable other “hits.”
Before founding Communications Plus in 1987, Kay was a vice president at D-A-Y Public Relations, a national PR firm. She also was an account executive at Russom & Leeper and Ruder & Finn Public Relations, both in San Francisco.
Kay taught PR at UC Extension, Santa Cruz; UC Extension Berkeley; the San Jose State University Professional Development Center; and the Cisco Systems • San Jose Entrepreneur Center.
She has received 17 local, national and international awards for her writing and PR programs.
Kay, the communications vice president for Women In Consulting (www.womeninconsulting.org), has served on WIC’s board for four years.
She received her bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College, Orange, California (now part of Loyola-Marymount University).
