It’s that gifting time of year again. Looking for something wonderful for a special client, friend or relative? How about voting with your dollars and supporting an awesome female entrepreneur with your purchase?
What’s on your list? Are you looking for food gifts? Jewelry? Beautiful shoes? Key chains? Books? The sisters have got you covered.
I’ve listed a few of my favorites and have found a couple of great gift guides as well. Apparently, great minds think alike as there are a lot of female-focused gift guides out there this year. Woohoo!
Many of these businesses are also small business so you can #ShopSmall and #ShopFemale at the same time with your purchase. Let’s go shopping!#ShopFemale: A Holiday Gift Guide Supporting Female Founders and Entrepreneurs Click To Tweet
1. Kara Mac shoes
Everyone who knows me knows how much I love my Kara Mac shoe “system”. This is brilliant. She has several styles of shoes and they are either “high” or “low” heels. I have the high-heeled booties for winter and the high-heeled sandals for summer.
Here’s the best part. Not only can I change the look of the heels in a moment, I can put the heel covers on either the boot or the sandal. I have plain, patent black, diamond, burnished snakeskin and the sparkly cheetah heel covers below. So I can go from a plain meeting boot off to date night with a flick of my wrist. The sandals and some of the other styles also come with embellishments for the front. So. Much. Fun. The boots are soooo comfortable, the leather is like butter.
Check out the video on the home page to see how this works. Actually, that made me realize I need the pumps to complete my Kara Mac system ….
I’m so proud of this one! Jenn White Topliff and I worked together a few years ago on her business idea. Now she has created Roons, the most delicious coconut macaroons you will ever taste. I don’t even like coconut but I LOVE Jenn’s Roons. She makes them by hand from her brand new shop in Portland and ships all over the U.S. (and to Canada as well I believe). She is also a super talented graphic artist so everything is presented beautifully. She is our source for all client gifts, so if you want free Roons, become a ThinkResults client. 😉
3. Kendra Scott jewelry
I love the Kendra Scott line and this entrepreneur because she has designed the company around giving back and supporting women. In the last few months, I’ve seen her work at a Watermark event, a professional women’s event, and she also did a fundraiser for our client, Lazarex Cancer Foundation, so she’s near to my heart.
I was also impressed when I ordered my first piece. It came in a beautiful gift box WITH A HAND WRITTEN NOTE! Who DOES that anymore?! Such a nice touch in the digital age.
4. The Lily Gift Guide
I just found this today. The Lily is a product of The Washington Post and seems to be a great place for all things relating to women’s empowerment. Delightful find.
Their Gift Guide highlights a range of products developed by women entrepreneurs. Just in case you don’t want shoes, Roons or jewelry.
If anyone is shopping for me, I’ll take one of these Away bags with built-in chargers. Cool.
5. Y Combinator Female Founders Gift List
Hat tip to Lucie Newcomb for alerting me to this list. Here’s a list from the fabled Y Combinator startup incubator, with just those products and services from their female founders.
