What a magical morning we had at the ThinkResults 10th Anniversary at Quadrus Conference Center on October 24. A fantastic group of clients, supporters and members of the ThinkResults team came together to celebrate our 10th Anniversary and be inspired by our speaker, Kate Purmal.
Even though it was very early in the morning (dark when Barbara Lawson and I arrived to set up), by the time Kate spoke, the light came beautifully through the oak trees in the background as she spoke and highlighted the fog. It was a gorgeous morning. These pictures really don’t do it justice!
Prior to Kate speaking, I saw a lot of great networking going on with several business owners connecting with colleagues new and old. (You see, I had a little map of who needed to speak to whom, based on their interests. So as soon as one guest would arrive, I would connect them with someone I knew would be interesting for them.) Lots of conversations ensued. One woman said to me, “If you had any more high-quality folks at the event, I would never have been able to get away and get my day started!”
Kate spoke to the group about the visioning process based on her current work, The Vision Project. Her thesis is that while some people are born visionaries, it is a learned skill. And then she proceeded to teach the group by leading us through a simple visioning exercise. Two attendees told me they had breakthroughs that morning as a result of the vision exercise.
I also wanted to give a shout out to many of you who participated in our 10th Anniversary Virtual Campaign by submitting your advice about how each of you has realized the vision in your life. We have received some fabulous, wonderful and inspiring advice and are working on the compilation book. We expect to complete that very soon and then it will be sent off to print.
