Jennifer is a talented marketing strategist with over 18 years experience in building results-driven branding programs. She has been involved in numerous brand development initiatives for high-growth companies of all sizes including PeopleSoft, Nektar and SAP. She is known as a visionary leader with a passion for innovation and for getting the job done right and on time.
Among other projects, Jennifer drove the successful development of the global branding and repositioning of PeopleSoft Global Services. After the brand repositioning, PGS had secured nine deals worth over $5 million each, compared to only one the previous year. This repositioning work helped grow the Global Services organization from a $700M to a $1B division with more than 4,000 employees.
Jennifer takes an innovative, results-oriented approach and is focused on making a significant impact to each of her clients’ businesses. She has published dozens of scientific, environment and health articles for a variety of publications and online media outlets including Discovery Channel Online.
Her first career in the field of environmental biology gave her a depth of scientific and technical experience, including advanced analytical methodologies. Jennifer holds a B.S. in Biology from Queen’s University, Canada, an M.S. in Biology from the University of Waterloo, Canada, and a certificate in BioEntrepreneurship from the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley.
Jennifer is a long-standing member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Silicon Valley chapter of the AMA, Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association, Women in Consulting (where she is part of the Leaders’ Network), the Northern California Science Writers Association, and is an advisor to the Silicon Valley Brand Forum. Jennifer previously served on the Board of Wardrobe for Opportunity, a Bay Area nonprofit that provides free clothing and career development support for low-income jobseekers so they can become economically self-sufficient.
She is a published author, marketing coach and speaks on a variety of marketing topics including successful launch and repositioning strategies, brand development, effective market positioning, brand integration and marketing metrics.
Jennifer was recognized in 2007 as one of the “Top 25 Women Redefining Success,” an award sponsored by Flexperience, in San Francisco. Women named to this list are singled out for their leadership in making flexible career strategies work for themselves and for others. In 2011, Jennifer was nominated as an Entrepreneur of the Year by the Women’s Initiative for Self-Employment. As part of her marketing and executive coaching practice, Jennifer is learning neurolinguistic programming in order to be certified as an NLP Practitioner.
