Barbara Lawson is a seasoned executive assistant with 25+ years of broad experience in start-up and high-growth environments. She has served in consulting, software, medical diagnostics, Internet-based, and drug delivery industries providing advanced administrative support to high-level executives.

Before joining ThinkResults Marketing, Barbara was Senior Executive Assistant to the President/COO of Hansen Medical, a publicly traded medical device company, from 2007 to 2009.
Major accomplishments:
- Established all admin procedures and processes for the newly created office of the President/COO
- Organized and project managed the Investor Relations function
- Coordinated and participated in annual Strategic Planning offsite for 38 people
From 2001 to 2007, Barbara was Senior Executive Assistant to the President/CEO of Nektar Therapeutics (formerly Inhale), a publicly traded company. Nektar was the first company to develop an inhalable insulin powder product approved by the FDA.
Major accomplishments:
- Developed and implemented the first employee photo database for the company’s intranet
- Provided leadership to the other admins; co-leader of the Admin Forum
- Created a centralized information database accessible only to the executive staff
- Coordinated 4 to 5 All Hands Meetings per year
Prior assignments:
- Executive Admin to the Founder/President/CEO of CareerCentral.com, a privately held Internet-based executive search firm. Company grew from 50 to 90 employees during tenure
- Executive Admin to the President/CEO of Metra Biosystems, a publicly traded medical diagnostics company that developed a bone density test for osteoporosis
- Executive Admin to the CEO of Ashlar, a CAD software company
- Office Manager / Executive Admin to the Founder/President/CEO of a marketing research consulting firm specializing in site selection for retail stores
Barbara attended Foothill College in Los Altos Hills, CA majoring in Accounting. She holds a Yellow Belt Certification from the Six Sigma Process Improvement Program, and is a former Notary Public.
